Simukai Child Protection Programme is a registered PVO (27/12) that was founded in 2000 as a bridge between beneficiaries and referrals. Over time, Simukai Child Protection Programme has evolved into an organization that seeks to serve the child and young people in a holistic manner based on a rights-based approach (eco-systemic child rights approach), which combines advocacy work on children's rights with measures to promote capacity and improve access to basic services. Our work empowers children, young persons and communities to address various child safeguarding issues, enhance their sustainable livelihoods, take anticipatory actions to climate and other hazards as well as sustainable environmental management.
Objective 1 – Reduce the vulnerability of the children and youths to all forms of abuse and exploitation, sexually transmitted infections, (STIs) including HIV and mitigate the effects of HIV and AIDS on vulnerable children. Objective 2 – Improve the physical, psychological and spiritual well-being of vulnerable children and youths. Objective 3 – Ensure access to formal and informal education, training and employment for vulnerable children and youths Objective 4 – Promote/advocate for the rights of vulnerable children and youths and ensure local community participation
