Simukai’s strategic focus calls for increased investment in research and advocacy. Research and advocacy are key as the organisation seek to conduct evidence-based advocacy on various issues affecting Programme participants and communities.
In implementing programmes, these will be accompanied with conducting operations research which will generate new data and trends that will help improve programming. Partnering with academic research institutes will be pursued for to enhance research skills and capacity as well as coming up with reliable results.
Carrying out longitudinal research studies in partnership with likeminded institutions will help identify new areas that need intervention as well as provide key advocacy issues that need attention going forward.
Informed by results from various researches the organisation will engage in local, national, regional and international advocacy activities that are data and evidence driven. This data will be used to conduct awareness raising, engage policy makers to influence law reforms and generate demand for services.
The organisation will also join local, national, regional and global alliances networks that amplify the voices of children, youths/young persons and the communities on various issues that we deal with.
